COMING SOON: NEW DESIGN CHALLENGE

COMING SOON: NEW DESIGN CHALLENGE

February 20, 2017 Engage

We want your ideas for the next generation of social-emotional learning measures! The Assessment Work Group is sponsoring a competition for new measures/assessments of SEL through our social-emotional learning assessment Design Challenge. In particular, we will be seeking proposals for direct assessments in which social-emotional competencies are measured based on a child’s performance on challenging tasks or in response to particular situations. Applicants will be asked to submit a narrative proposal and an assessment prototype. Please stay tuned for more information and a formal Call for Submissions that will be released March 20th 2017. The top proposal will receive a prize of $5,000 and five additional winners will also receive a financial award. Top proposers will also have opportunities to present their winning ideas to their peers in the SEL community. This is the first annual Design Challenge, which means your submissions will help shap e the future of this competition and, by extension, the future of SEL assessment. We welcome proposals from the practitioner, research and assessment vendor communities. Please CLICK HERE if you are interested in proposing an assessment or are willing to review proposed assessments so we make sure you get Call for Submissions. If you know of someone who may be interested, please feel free to forward this note.
